ARTIST | PHOTOGRAPHER | SCULPTOR | PAINTER

My artwork chooses to address the intersection between cognitive disorders and creative expression, navigating through layers of thoughts and emotions that accompany the challenges faced with cognitive disorders. Through my work, I aim to highlight the dark aspects of the human experience, drawing attention to the internal struggles faced by those individuals. By deliberately making the pieces appear chaotic, I emphasise the lack of understanding and confusion of the struggles those with cognitive disorders experience.
Each composition serves as a visual representation of my personal feelings/thoughts shaped by my own cognitive disorders, an aspect of my everyday life. This exploration is not only personal but also universal, aiming to bridge the gap between individual experiences and shared understanding.
The sculptural elements function as a framework for the underlying painting, transforming them into a multi-dimensional experience. The sculptural forms act almost as masks, embodying the complexities of identity and perception - which references a theme explored in my past work.
A lot of my composition's are underlined with photography taken and edited by myself. I feel the photography in my piece's are way to demonstrate a front which has been disfigured or merging.
Through this artistic journey, I aspire to create a space which viewers can resonate not only with my work but a connection with others with similar experiences. My hope is that my artwork not only opens a dialogue about cognitive disorders but also offers solace, fostering a sense of community in the face of these challenges.
